CAPTCHA in contact form

I have installed CAPCHA+CAPTCHA Pack and set it up to display on the contact page.
When I get a guest user attempts to use the contact form to send a message CAPTCHA states an invalid answer.
If the user is logged in (authenticated) all works well.
This is obviously a permissions problem but I can't seem to find what to adjust (set) to resolve this.
Any comments would be most helpful.

While adding captcha and
While adding captcha and reCaptcha to the contact form, it seems to change permission on the contact form. By just editing User Management -> Permissions -> Contact form
I added anonymous user to "access site-wide contact form" and everything works fine.
If this is just messing up the captcha verification, you might try the appropriate permissions for captcha on that same page.
