Cannot see any results

- Installed module.
- Set File system settings to 'private'
- On my content type settings, set Attachments to 'Enabled'
- Upload file.
- In Node template, add link to attached file
- Download file

Go to Download counter page ... no results. Repeated attempts and running cron also made no difference.

I went to the Display Fields settings for my content type, thinking maybe that, when the node is displayed as a page, I had to display the downloadable file attachments through some other means besides an l() function in the template, but there is no display field row for file attachments in my node type's display fields settings.

Is this meant to work only on specific ways of attaching files to a node? Should I be using filefield or something along those lines?
