I have a number of CCK content types with node reference links and workflow. In trying to use content translation I am finding issues keeping the various translations in sync with workflow. (Essentially each record needs referenced uniquely and will be promoted all together into various workflow states)

As I understand the issue, Content translation actually creates an additional node for each translation. As such, it appears that workflow is also extended and acts accordingly (with a workflow state for each translation node).

1) Am I understanding the issue correctly?
2) is there any way to bind all of the translation nodes to be treated as one for purposes of promoting all at the same time?

Since this request is over 2 years old, I'm going to assume a solution was found or you've moved on. If not, please get updated to the latest versions of all modules and see if things have fixed themselves. If not, open a new ticket and I'll be glad to look at it.
