Description

I'm sad to see Sql search discontinued, but happy to see flexisearch. However, I wish flexisearch would expand on what SQL search did unless all these features make it into the core. What I mean by that is that it would be great to let an admin create differnt search pages that can be restricted to any content type and node type.

A good example of this in use would be a classified ads type of site. A user would click the "job search" link and be taken to a search page that lets them use flexinode and taxonomy terms to search for jobs fitting a certain criteria like-- all jobs in Texas, in the cateogry education, in the salary range 35,000 to 45,000, and with the word "science" in the "job description" field.

Then there might be a classified type of "Free stuff." A user could click "search for free stuff" and go to a separate page restricted to "free stuff" node types and search by the taxonomy terms associated with that node type-- Show me stuff in the cateogry used furniture with the words "like new" in the description.

You get the idea. I think the other thing to add would be to tie in the location module with all this to enable zipcode searches. This would give admin complete control to create several types of searches on one site.

We originally considered using location module for zipcode searches, but this didn't fit into the budget that paid for Flexisearch development. It looked technically pretty hard.
