When SWF Tools is present in /sites/all/modules and I enable it, my admin modules section goes blank until I remove the module from /sites/all/modules.

I'm running Drupal 6.x, and I'm new to the system. I'd love to use this, but I fear maybe it's conflicting with some other module I've installed already. does it have any known conflicts? has anyone else witnessed this behavior?

thanks in advance,
-Kevin

actually it's worse than that, when SWF Tools is installed and enabled, my entire admin section can't be used, because navigating anywhere but back using the browser buttons just shows blank pages. luckily when I remove the SWF Tools module, I'm back working again.

I've not seen this before myself. While it could be a module conflict it's unlikely since modules generally run in their own "namespace".

Are you running lots of other contributed modules?

When you disable it, and go to your site logs, are there any messages that might give a clue as to what is causing the failure?

I did hear of something similar reported once, but as far as I know no-one else could create the problem, and on a fresh Drupal install the problem disappeared.

I will leave this thread open in case anyone else has seen this / experienced it and can comment/advise.

No-one else has reported this. Guessing it might have been a memory issue?

No follow up so setting closed.
