If you are hosting at site5.com and upgrade from Drupal 6.10 to 6.11 you will need to disable the Update Status module because if you don't, you will get "MySql has gone away" errors for any Administer function.

Site5.com has resolved the issue and the Update Status now works.

Below is the Support request that was sent to Site5.com:

Dear Support:

Are you blocking access to http://updates.drupal.org/?

I have upgrade some of my Drupal CMS websites from 6.10 to 6.11 and noticed that I cannot access any of the site administration functions unless I disable the Update Status module in the Drupal websites.
