Running Drupal 6.11 (problem existed in 6.10 too) with the latest recommended versions of all installed modules, CCK does not provide the drag-and-drop capability in the "Manage fields" area (ordering fields is done with weight values instead).

Both "Administration menu" (the contrib. module displaying a menu structure at the top of the page) and the "Themer info" (from Devel contrib. module) inappropriately disappear only when I visit the "Manage fields" area.

Based on my searches, no one has experienced this problem.

I'm guessing it has something to do with JavaScript not functioning due to some conflict, but my newbie status when it comes to Drupal prevents me from knowing where to properly focus my troubleshooting efforts.

While I will continue to troubleshoot and report back any progress, in the interest of saving precious resources, does anyone have any guidance?

Today I had the same problem.
In my Drupal reports I found that the file sites/all/modules/contrib/devel/devel_themer_ie_fix.css was not found.
After I disabled the "theme developer" (devel-module) the problem was solved.

Devel Theme Module breaks all the time.
