Hello all,

I have FCKeditor and IMCE installed in D6.11. I have just installed Private Upload and disabled IMCE.
My reasoning is that IMCE which also provides a file directory may either conflict with Private Upload or be redundant, to the utter confusion of many users.

Am I off track here? Any comments, please?

They are two completely different systems which should have no conflicts. Whether your users will be confused I can't say.
