I have downloaded, unpacked and uploaded my new theme in my newly upgraded installation of 6.11 and I can't seemy new theme.
I created a new directory in sites/all/themes and it simply does not show.
Must be something simple I am doing wrong but I can't find any answers on the support pages.
please help.
p.s. it is a new installation so I haven't started building the site yet.

have u enabled the new theme?

admin > theme > find and enable the new theme ..also, may need to set as default to see the new theme

You say you created a new directory -- make sure you just uploaded the theme folder to the sites/all/themes directory. Also, make sure the theme you're installing is compatible with D6. There should be a .info file in the theme's directory.
