Newly created profiles are not added to the menu

Description
After creating a new profile, it does not show up in the menu (tabs) until I manually clear the menu cache. I'm not sure that it is really common or good practice to put user created items in the menu like this, probably partially due to this issue... A profile listing page is possibly enough?
