Bay area bugfix meetup Tuesday, Jan. 24th

drumm - January 17, 2006 - 02:18

We will meet at Ritual Roasters in San Francisco from 1 to 6pm to tackle the issue queue. Stop by for a few hours to review, test, and create patches. Working in the same space will allow us to collaborate on issues. A good overview of how to help is at the Jan. 19 bugfix post.

m3avrck - January 17, 2006 - 03:13

Bummer, wish I was in SF, I'd be there! Don't worry, I'll be sure to fill up the patch queue with patches for review, unless they get committed before then :-)

great work

moshe weitzman - January 17, 2006 - 05:32

thanks for organizing this drumm. i hope the bay area folks come out for this one. will be fun. i'm on other coast but i'll be there in spirit.

And newbie developers...

SpriteGF - January 17, 2006 - 07:03

It's good to hear that there are so many Bay Area events. Are newbie developers also welcome? I've done some work modifying the PHP modules, but not the actual core.

Wishing you all the best with the bug hunts!

Sure.. there is lots to do

drumm - January 17, 2006 - 07:05

Sure.. there is lots to do for all skill levels. You could test patches for example. Don't worry if you don't know diff and patch yet, it only takes a few minutes to learn.

Muni Metro

SpriteGF - January 17, 2006 - 23:27

Sounds good!

And just for those East Bay folks (like me) who want to participate, take Muni Metro Outbound J-Church to 21st St. for the fastest way to get there.

Cool

MrEricSir - January 23, 2006 - 04:06

I may join you guys.

What kind of software do we need? How will this event be organized?

Stop by for however long you

drumm - January 23, 2006 - 05:57

Stop by for however long you want starting whenever you want with a laptop capable of running Drupal. CVS is strongly recomended. Do whatever you want out of the issue queue or ask others if there is anything particularly needed.

Wish you guys would come down...

Psyched to attend my first Drupal meeting! I'm heading in from Oakland.

I hope there are more of these events

jpsalter - January 24, 2006 - 03:32

Unfortunately, I'm out of town during this one. If there are more of these events I'd love to come and help.

Drupal Environmentalists needed

PedroM - January 24, 2006 - 18:29

Would you like to help the environment?

It has not escaped me that the Sierra Club headquarters are in San Francisco, where there is a big environmental following. If you know anyone who would like to offer their help in making or customizing modules for the environmental movement, please contact me. I hope you can ask around at the meetup tonight. Thanks! Good luck with the bugs!

Pedro, shoot me an email
