Shows content from a list or fetched?

Hi,

I have a case where I am displaying items that change all the time.

What I would like to know is whether Dynamic display block always calls for the items (allowing them to be generated) or whether it loads all of them and then just cycles through them on the page using JavaScript.

If this is not possible using this module, which one would you recommend that is able to do it?
