Hi guys
i have been tasked to look into using Drupal for our intranet solution. Can you advise about anything i should look out for.
I know the functionality is there but my concern is we have a potential load of 4000 users Auto logging in when they switch their workstation on.
What is available regarding load balancing?

whether 4000 users is a heavy loading depends on what your users will do in your drupal site?
if your users always download videos, the loading will be very heavy.
if just for browsing simple content pages, the loading is light.

Its not going to be used to deliver video content but to disseminate news and information across the business quickly
Also will need some LDAP integration, forum and blog functionality, stock information etc
My interpretation of load balancing is where the system (or server) distributes processing tasks across multiple machines. This would mean having some replication on the database which is synced automatically
