I have just installed Drupal 6.1 and am trying to set up an online store. I am new to Drupal and am trying to figure it out. Looks awesome, though.
I downloaded and installed the eCommerce Module for 6x according to the instructions, along with all required modules, and installed them in the proper order.
"Products" is now visible in the left hand menu.
According to the eCommerce installation instructions, I should be able to create new products via: > Create content > Product.
When I go to Create Content page, I see only two options - Page and Story. Product is not there.
Do I have to enable something or is there another module required?
I'd appreciate any help you could offer.
Thanks.

I am having the same problem. I created a content type for the products I want to enter but I am not convinced that this is the right step. Using Michael Peacock's book on Drupal 5 selling with eCommerce and it doesn't mention how to get Product to show up as a type of node either!

There is limited documentation for this module and I have seen nothing that really explains how to create a product however in the read me file it states...
6. Create new products via:
> Create content > Product

To quote bennru "When I go to Create Content page, I see only two options - Page and Story. Product is not there."

Are you supposed to create a content type called product using CCK or is it supposed to be created for you?

I am a pretty new Drupal user and this sort of this is very discouraging. Can someone please post a solution for us as it seems we all have the same issue.

Thank you.
