I get this message: "The requested page could not be found" when trying to add any menu item to a menu though am sure the page I am pointing to does exist. Even i tried using < front > to link to the home page and I still get this message
This problem didn't exist earlier, I already added a link to the home page using the Primary Links menu , but now I can't add any more or even another Home page link?????
I do have Taxonomy_CSV, Taxonomy Menu and Quick Menu modules to import terms, create a menu for them and then make it a jump menu respectively. All are working fine and the links of menus created this way are all working. The problem appears only when I try to add an item manually, it doesn't accept the page link it seems
Can someone please help?????
I didn't upgrade yet to 6.11, but I think this cannot be related to that..

Have you tried to create a menu manually with those mentioned modules disabled to see if the problem still occurs?
Have you tried to manually create a menu item other than home? Also - what format are you typing into the text box.. you're not putting a forward slash in front of the path are you?
tried all this. I even tried
tried all this. I even tried linking to external site (http://drupal.org ) and still didn't work. I also noticed something wrong with my system, I can't delete menu items, and can't delete or do any update thing to the content nodes created. Is this related to anything? Is there some file that needs to be writable??

Are Path module and Pathauto both enabled?

I am the admin. Doesn't this mean I have permissions to do anything, or it should be enabled manually?? There are only two columns in permissions for anonymous and authenticated users
All modules are up to date. I still didn't update to drupal 6.11 though, but the problem with deleting or updating content nodes has been there earlier.
I think i will update to 6.11, may be a new fresh package of drupal would solve this, I hope so.
This is getting more weird
This is getting more weird and annoying. I updated to 6.11 and checked for modules updates and everything, same problems still exist. I tried disabling ALL modules that I added to the site and problems still exist. I gave permissions to all users of the site to do everything and problems still exist
I can't make update changes to the content nodes, and I can't create menu items. I can however do delete a whole menu. The latest weird thing I noticed is that I don't see any delete button to delete an individual menu item. I suppose and think there was an option to do that???!!!
its driving me nuts, I know nothing about coding for me to check the code or something :(
Any hope??? :(

Problem solved!! That was
Problem solved!!
That was ridiculous. it turned out the problem was with my THEME!!! I used a theme that i created using Artisteer software and it was responsible for all the errors, both the delete/update nodes thing and the add menu item thing.
Now I am using Garland or possibly any built in theme as the administration theme while I left my customed theme as the site theme and things are working :)
