I am just developing a new theme for the Drupal Community. It's still in the process. All the themes look like the same routine. I want to made a bit colorful. So i added colros to the basic bluemarine theme.

Overview

1. Graphical Tabs
2. Each Tab has different coclor.
3. Different colors for blocks.
4. sIFR for Node titles

I very much like the use of color and white space. I'm a total css noob... how did you accomplish the tabs and and blocks? I assume this is just application of css?

Thank you very much. I am bit busy on some other work now. I'll release the full theme tomarrow. As far as the tabs- i have given the ID's for tab and with css i changed the graphics for each ID.

The header looks awful in Opera 8.51 (with Flash, Java, Javascript enabled). Blocks look ok, except for small distortions on the 'curves' of the red and green tabs.

Are you doing something special with the header?

Thank You. I have just downloaded the opera and din't check it. I'll do it. Reg the curves, i have noticed it it's becoz i am using a red color curve for every block. Currently i am busy with another work. By tomarrow i'll fix the distortions and opera.

Hi All,

I have just fixed the Opera issue and uploaded a better Header. Now it looks good with IE 6, Firefox 1.07, Opera 8.51, Netscape 8.

Reg the mac issue, I can't test it. I don't have mac pc.

Great theme! One of the nicest Drupal themes I've seen so far. When are you going to commit it to cvs (as the title of this topic suggests that this is your intention)?

I tested your theme in IE, opera and firefox.
In IE it works well but in opera and firefox after I scroll the page the nodes titles can't be clicked. If I minimize and then restore the browser those links can be clicked again.

Now the links problem is fixed.
I have an other problem now: the <?php print $search_box ?> prints out 0 or 1 for me.

Now the theme works with both the versions Drupal 4.6 & Drupal 4.7. Please read the README file how to install for 4.6.

I have added an option to Enable/Disable sIFR for node Titles. The instructions are avilable in the README file.

Need Some Help:
I am looking for some help, How to add an extra setting option"Theme specefic setting". I have seen goofy theme(secondary logo) in the seeting page is doing that.

My intention is to dynamically ENABLE/DISABLE the sIFR for Node Titles from the settings page.

The search box worked after I disabled and enabled the theme and cleared my local cache.
Please enter to my site using Opera and after the front page is loaded do a refresh. You will see the node titles inside of the first image.

I just downloaded and used your theme. First, thanks for the great work.

Now for some comments/requests:

1.) The search box doesn't appear although the option is enabled at administer>>settings>>global settings and fancy. Tried enabling and disabling, clearing cache etc. Still doesn't work.
2.) The readme.txt didn't have any info about optionally enabling sIFR for titles.
3.) Where can I get professional looking sIFR fonts? This one is somewhat inappropriate for serious sites.
4.) I don't know if you noticed that custom blocks with bulleted lists have extra padding. I think your theme's style.css is overriding the drupal.css defaults for list padding

If you could provide some additional info about which images to modify to customise the colours further, that would help theming. You can see the issues here

Thank you for your suggestions. I forgot to upload the 4.6 version of the theme there, thatz the reason you're not getting the search. Apart from that everything works perfectly. I didn't alter any list in style.css, i'll definetly look into it.

Reg sIFR fonts- you need to download the sIFR http://www.mikeindustries.com/sifr/ there you can customize your fonts as you like. I'll add how to customize in the readme file.

I got my cvs account, i am trying to commit there, it was pretty new to me and i need some time to understand. I'll commit 4.6 and 4.7 versions.

If you have any specfic requirements abt this theme feel free to contact me.

You can download the latest from the drupal themes downlaod page. The 4.6 works fine and 4.7 has not been updated, waiting for Drupal 4.7 RC to update the theme.

Um, this may be a silly question but I have made the effort of looking for an answer first!

How on earth do you change the colour of the selections you want in sifr? You know, the flash component colour itself.

I've looked in css files, searched the sifr forum for color/colour, read the readme and can't see it so from that I know I'm missing an obvious step!

Any pointers on this would be great! Thanks

Fancy is one of the most beautiful theme for Drupal. :)
But we dont need Flash fonts. Do you have any idea how can I turn it off completely?

Open the node.tpl.php file of the theme and remove the 'sifr' from the node title (h2 class)

Thank you this is a very impressive piece of work and I get a lot of compliments (that should go to you) on my site.

Two questions though:
1) When I add Primary Links, the footer information goes off center. Is there a way that you can still have the primary links at the bottom of the page AND have the "Copyright, Powered by and Designed by" still centered??

2)Where can I turn breadcrumbs off??

now it is a little closer to my final desired look, for now anyway...I may tinker a little more..not sure.

I added a little banner rotater and it sets it off nicely I think.

I think what I will most likely do is develop another totally different header area (from start to finish) every couple of months and just swap them around to keep the site looking fresh. Or just rename the theme/upload new module directory (is that possible?) and enable it as another user choice but swap the default. That could be good!

Your great work with the fancy theme is giving most of the fresh feel to the site I might add.

You can create different styles to theme and place them in subfolder in the fancy theme. If U enable users can select the theme as well.

Right now i am busy with other works, enabling support for international characters is easy, all you need is to create your own swf font file with chinese characters. Plz go thorugh the sIFR site for how to make your own fonts with international chracters. Links provided in teh readme file.

Hi Sunny,
I'm trying to make www.drupalecommerce.com easy to navigate. I used theme-editor in 4.6 but it hasn't been updated to 4.7. I figured out I could edit primary links through administer menu. As you can see, I've piled on primary links. But how do I edit secondary links?

(Not sure what to say if you don't want me to say "thank you"!)

I read thread 43748, 41657 41756 but those steps didn't work for me. I have menu enabled.
I added a new menu called secondary links
I went to admin settings menu
i changed "menu containing secondary links"
to
secondary links
i enabled the block called secondary links (leftside)
i cannot see this block.

like others, i miss the simplicity of the old system.

I don´t know if this will be noticed since this is an old thread, but I´m trying to download Fancy and the folder shows under the themes directory on the server but I can´t see the theme in the andministrator panel. I haven´t downloaded sIFR since I will not be messing with the node title fonts, what I´m after are the colourful tabs and blocks. Should I, is that what´s stopping me, if so should I just unzip the sIFR file into the sifr folder (...themes/fancy/sifr)?
