Description
Users without the create rotor item permission (but with the option for several other content types) see the option to create rotor content on the "create content" page. When they click on it they get an access denied but they should never see the option in the first place. What could cause this?
Notes:
- D6.11 with all modules up to date
- Happens also with Panels 2 (same phenomenon)
- Only access control module is taxonomy role but even after disabling (and clearing cache) this behaviour exists

Needless to say that I triple checked all permission settings.

I'm not seeing this... Does your user have 'administer nodes' permission? can you take a screenshot to show me your permissions setup?

Sorry, I forgot about this issue due to other problems. I suspect that it is related to this: http://drupal.org/node/454636
I have to upgrade to D6.12 and when the problem persists I gonna go back on this.

As launching day nears I have to tackle this issue. I did some search about this and there is a core issue related to this and also some stuff with Admin Menu. What I can say is that it is not the fault of Rotor Banner as the same phenomenon occures with Panels and FAQ. Basically I have no clue what is causing this and posting in the forums brought nothing up.
I solved this (I hope) with some work within the menues (disabling some entries and some which came up after a first round of disabling- weird).
