Currently users without the permission to create panels or rotor items (curtesy of the rotor banner module) but with the permission for other content types see the option to create a panel or a rotor item on their "create content" page. When they click on the given link they get an "access denied" but they shouldn`t the these options in the first place. What could cause this and how could I debug this?

Notes:
-D6.11 and all modules up to date
- Only access control module used is Taxonomy Role and I disabled it and the issue persists
- Currently I use Panels 2 alpha 3 (due to APK's need of it)

Sidenote: Shouldn't be a rebuild permissions option be found at admin/content/node-settings??

I solved this by resetting the bogus items which brought up three new items in the navigation menue called "Create Content". I disabled those which created three new items (faq,panels,rotor item -> the three content types which never should have be under "Create Content" in the first place.

This is weird and if someone could enlighten me about this I would be very glad. I hope my "fix" works.
