I'd like to have columns equal to content and I benefit a lot of your replies there : http://drupal.org/node/396658#comment-form
I succeeded for the left column and I would succeed also for the right column if it was a fixed width.
But I can't understand what to do when theme is fluid. We are speaking of background, and I have no idea how to tell a second background to floaf left. Have you an example?

The painted wall is a good example, or you can read my post about an alternative to faux columns that will work with fluid layouts :

Merci cousinhub,
I think I will propose the painted wall because I succeeded in minor adaptation in that theme, unless my client accepts a non fluid theme with "basic" or no right column with basic.
Thanks a lot for providing those themes and help in drupal.
