I am looking to convert my site to using Drupal. I am mainly concerned with the shopping area.
I need to be able to sell our products with specific quantity discounts. is this possible using Drupal?

Drupal uses a module system to provide much of its functionality. I suggest you take a look at Ubercart, and related modules, and see if there's something that suits your needs.

You can choose between Uber Cart http://drupal.org/project/ubercart and Ecommerce moduels http://drupal.org/project/ecommerce for your website.

In Uber cart there is a modules for discounts, http://drupal.org/project/uc_coupon.

You will also need a payment gateway for your website. For Paypal you can use http://drupal.org/project/lm_paypal module. You can find modules for other payment gateways too on Drupal.org
