Perhaps I am not understanding what this module should do. I am trying to automatically make new site registrant automatically have to signup for the newsletter without a check-box or option to opt out for now. I can't seem to find how to accomplish this and have read the various threads and seem to be missing something here? Is there a setting I'm overlooking? Thanks

This is what the "Show" & "Opt Out" options are for in 6.x-1.x. It may not have been available in 1.0.
However, as of today, "Opt Out" is swapped with the "Description." In other words, if you select the Description, you actually are selecting the Opt Out variable and vice versa. Very confusing.
There is a patch attached.

AlexisWilke commentedOkay! There was another bug in the insert/update that would prevent the hidden auto-opt-in feature from working.
See attached. It includes both bug fixes.
