appending mhtml

When i try to open a mht file via help of link, at the run time mhtml is appended to my url, and the file not displays.
If we refresh again the browser, or delete the mhtml from the URL, the mht file displays.

appended url coming automatically in browser:
mhtml:https://www.your_site_name.com/mht/......./2674004895
please suggest, how to handle this.
