in 4.7 beta 3, i am trying to promote users to higher levels of access (from authenticated to site architect, for example), but that fails. i get a blank screen after i hit submit and then if i reload the user page, i get no change to the user.

my hunch is that somehow no user on the board (including admin/user 1) now has access to change userid permissions...-

this, incidentally, is a database which is very new and has had little done to it...

my fault. had an old version of pathauto running.
