I am trying to get the IM ( http://drupal.org/project/im ) module to work.
I have tried both:

I have both blocks showing the people who are online, I can add friends, but I cannot chat back and forth. If I send a message, it doesn't get sent to the receiver.

I checked the database and there are no entries being saved, so I decided to try and insert my own entry. That makes it so I have a (1) beside the user name but I cannot retrieve what the message is.

Could someone please help me figure out what the problem could be. It seems like no one else has had any problems because I cannot find an answer anywhere about messages not being saved in the database.

I'm experiencing the exact same issue. All seems to work, but message are never received by recipient.

I never actually got around to trying this module again, but according to the issue http://drupal.org/node/459662 it says the problem has been fixed.

Perhaps you may want to reopen this issue.
