Is there any module available for making a course management system? I dont want use Moodle and integrate with Drupal. Each course will be associated with a few nodes. Each node will a flash movie and some quiz will be associated with it. The logged in users should be able to register for any course and access it. They should be able to track the progress of the course. Is it possible in Drupal?

Based on your brief description I would say it's possible. Create a content type for "course" that contains nodereference fields to the nodes with the flash movie / quiz. Checkout the signup module for registration and possibly workflow for progress.
