XML-RPC Authentication

I was trying to create a cross network configuration module, using my site: jacobhenke.net as a communications point, but I found that if I changed the name on a user account from my site, that the reffering site didn't change the username and created a new uid for the same user, I found that to be redundant and a little bad coding, I'm working on a patch for this problem if anyone has a patch already made I would appreciate a heads up me@jacobhenke.net
