I have a new (and really small) site using Drupal 4.6.3 and it is a collaboration between 3-4 people. I was wondering if instead of having one blog per person, if we could have say 2/3 blogs, to which all of us could add, as each blog is specialised around certain projects which will have their own progress.

If nothing works, I guess I could use Taxonomy to seperate posts and show them as different posts of the same stream, but I was wondering if multiple blogs is an option.

thanks!

Why not use the Story module for the different blogs? Stories have the same functionality sans the connection to a specific user account. Just create a node for each topical 'blog.'

Wouldn't that just be the use of the story content type? Create a taxonomy, even with its own access rules, and many people post to the section. Or what about the book functions? I have not used these, I am setting up my first drupal site and going through the modules...

Stories and blogs essentially behave the same way, just slight differences it content type configuration, and presentation.

Tried that, but for some reason, even with stories enabled and made accessible, I cannot find administer>settings>Stories, which is what is needed to administer them (i read that somewhere on www.drupal.org but forgot where).

I use Drupal 4.6.3 and this above instruction to administer stories was indexed under 4.7

How do I do this in Drupal 4.6.3? Right now, I can just post stories, and there is no way (i couldnt figure it out) I can change much about

So when you ask me to use story instead of blog, how do a series of stories written by different people become part of the same "group" or "series" (non-drupal terms)?? Is Taxonomy the only solution then?

Have been trying the story module for a while, and hey! it works reasonably well for me!

Thanks for posting back. But, although I use stories myself, I am unable to see the connection between that and a blog. Did you set up a taxonomy terms for each of your project blogs and then use the story type to post to specific blogs?

Precisely. Couldn't have put it better myself.
And while is not the same as posting to the same blog, it is a reasonable makeshift. Also, I am not sure if it makes any difference to the reader, although multiple members of the same blog would have been a more elegant solution!

Thanks! Helps to know that:-)
