@asugene - If you or anyone else is still interested in a backport to Drupal 5, then please checkout the other "userfly" module at http://drupal.org/project/userfly.

I do not have a version for Drupal 5 yet, but if there is still interest, I will create one. If you are interested, please post a message to #1076526: Anyone need the userfly module backported to Drupal 5
