I am using the Alina Theme, but I am noticing that Fckeditor dose not show. nether dose fbconnect nor the dynamic display block module. I have a feeling that the issues are all related as all is fine when I Switch to the Garland theme.

If you use the advanced slideshow option dynamic display block module and switch themes you need to add the custom folder to this theme and add the preprocess functions to the template.php file of this theme as you did with your garland theme.

For your Fckeditor issue have a look at the issue queue of the theme.

I just found this issue as DDBLOCK related. (but if I don't actively search or look for related issues, I would not find this issue, neither does the maintainer of the Alina Theme I think)
I think you did not choose the right place to post this issue, to get an answer.
It's better to post in the issue queue of the theme or the module you have an issue with.
