Hi,

I've been a programmer for many years but I'm brand new to Drupal. I'm interested in building an application which has users and accounts. Users should be able, through Drupal, to perform queries against a search engine, store interesting search results and share them with their friends.

I'd appreciate it if someone could guide me in what approach (i.e. what modules and design) I might use to build this site.

There are a zillion modules out there and I've not gotten a good sense of which ones might be the right ones.

Also, references to sites already doing what I'm interested in would be very much appreciated.
