Not Working in General

I can't seem to get the module to do anything but list the permission 'change cck fields through comments'. I enable this permission for the roles but don't notice anything that changes anywhere else. I would assume, from the lack of documentation, that there is not anything else required to get this module to work. I am using the rootcandy fixed theme, if it matters. Everything else (drupal, cck, etc.) is up to date as of today. What should I check first?
