Tech spec....

  • The them was pretty simple work up from zen
  • Most of the std larger modules, views, panels, cck, ubercart.. but some of the more interesting ones were
    • webfrom
    • UC node access
    • simple news (first time using this baby for me)
    • rules (really like the UI on this)

There were a few interesting tit bits for the website. There are zero custom modules running :) . The customers wanted a career road map where buy the registered users would create content that would help plot their career path. Ended up using CCK for the 18 content type's with an over ride of the default permissions that only they and the admins would see this content using ACL. Then there were 18 views constructed to display the content, with the "EMTPY" section displaying a custom message and link to create the content type (only really want users to create one of each). Then i wrapped that all up in a panel.. works flawlessly. Styled it all up with red and green eye candy and looks superb as well. Another obstacle I overcame was they wanted sudo psychometric tests as purchasable items in the online store. The issue how ever was that I ended up using Webform as the base for the test but this was not an item i could create in ubercart.... Found another module UC Node Access that gave me the ability to sell a role. So I created a product that sold a role, when I created the webfrom test it is only accessible via that role.. also had some fancy options to limit the time the role was granted etc.

Was a really fun project to do and turned out very spiffy, i thought.

nice site! i must admit it

that sounds very impressive! i must say i really appreciate when people explain how they use "the hard to grasp the use of" mods like this uc node access thingy.
