I'd like to have a gallery of images attached to an Event node displayed on that node's page, below the rest of the event details.
("Here are photos from the event...")

Is Node Gallery the right tool for the job?

Would it be some manner of using Node Reference to refer the Gallery node to the Event node? Or the other way around -- a nodereference field in the Event node that tells it which Gallery to use?

Use Nodereference to attach Gallery node to Event node, then a View of the Gallery Images displayed on the Event page...? With Views Arguments? ...How?

I'm trying to do the exact same thing for my site. I have the gallery's setup, i can upload light box works great but i have no idea how to display them on a related node / story because they do not display in VIEWS :S

I'm having the same problem. I can't display them on views unless i do a "User" view. I can't display them based on the content type, etc. The only thing i'm missing with this module is the views integration.

Don't know if you found a solution for this. But perhaps you can try the node relativity module. You can then show up a gallery below or wherever (noderelativity creates blocks for you).

Views was added in 2.x and should have solved this issue.
