Need help with tables and updates!

customistic - May 12, 2009 - 18:57

I have a website (www.customistic.com) that my friend made and was maintaining for me. I have now started maintaining it and I am so lost with Drupal.

Can someone explain:

1. how to install the updates that I download? I download them to the desktop but the files won't open. I know I am doing something really wrong but I can't find instructions on how to run updates. I have about 20 I need to run to get my site up to date.

2. I have my tables borders set to "0" on all my tables on the shirts and ladies pages, but you can still see the tables.

3. How do I get rid of the "home" and titles at the top of the pages? I don't want them there, they are redundant when you can click on the customisitic logo and when I have an image title.

Thanks

Ok it sounds as though you

Ok it sounds as though you are picking up the ball that your friend has dropped.

Your Drupal Website is running on a host somewhere. You need to get the details on how to get admin access for your website at your host. Then you need to learn a bit about CPanel and FTP. Download an FTP application like www.filezilla-project.org and log into your website. Then you will see the various directories that your website uses.

Upload the module updates to your website and then use CPanel Filemanager to extract those module updates into their respective sub directories.

There is a bit to learn with this sort of stuff but I hope this points you in the right direction.
