Dear helpers

I have installed jquery update and followed all the instructions readme file.
but still jquery Ui is disabled.

please help urgent

I have the same problem! Whatever I try the checkbox remains disabled. (I'm using jquery_ui 6x-1.2)

I have also noticed that there are 2 very different installation instructions in CVS and in the Readme file that comes with the module.

One of these instructions tells us to apply a patch from http://drupal.org/node/315100 (I wonder which one, because there are 160 messages in that forum topic). In another instruction, there's no mentioning of any patches.
Also, in one set of instructions we are told to rename the downloaded JQ as jquery.ui , while another instruction tells us "jquery-ui". Further confusion arrises from the question of which Jquery bundle to download. Nothing is clear! And now I can't even enable this module...

May be just disable all the required modules first then copy the jquery.ui folder to the jquery_ui folder then enable all the modules.

It worked for me.

For those with this problem, I had to disable the Date Pop-Up module first before enabling the jquery_ui module. Also, make sure you extract the actual jquery files into the jquery_ui module directory not into a sub-directory within the jquery_ui module directory. The people working on the Date module should put that jquery_ui is required for Date Pop-Up so you cannot enable before enabling jquery_ui...
