Description
I've been using the Backup/Migrate module for awhile without problems. But recently I noticed that my scheduled backups are being removed from the /scheduled directory. My logs show that the file is being created on the cron run, but the file disappears from the /scheduled backup directory. Indeed, existing files that were there are also one-by-one being deleted. When I create a manual backup, those files stay put. But when cron runs, there seems to be no error, but the files in the scheduled directory actually dissappear rather than are added.
If you have any thoughts about what I might investigate, please advise.
Thanks so much for the great module.

OK, I think that I see why the files are being deleted. There is another site we are running that is using the same backup_migrate directory. This site has the number of saved backup copies at 1. So it's responsible for deleting the files.
However, I have another issue. I installed the 5.x2.dev and I'm trying to create a new set of directories for manual and scheduled, but when I try to back up to them, then I get a "can't write to that directory" error. The dir permissions are set the same on these new dirs as they are on the dirs that work.
Any thoughts?

hmmm.. no, I'm afraid I'm not sure what could be happening here. You're sure the web server has write permissions on the directories you want to save to?

resolved.
