I am pretty sure that the effect I have is related to my desktop machine. Maybe someone else has experienced the same problems.

It looks like the styles of all Drupal sites get heavily screwed up in my gecko based browsers (Firefox 1.5 and Camino on Max OSX 1.4.4). All the text becomes transparent and the rest of the site explodes. Screenshots:

I have the same effect on my local Drupal installation when I choose the friendsElectric theme. The bluemarine theme looks ok.

I emptied caches and tried to fiddle with a couple of browser settings with no result.

The site looks ok in Safari except for the imput fields which turn into almost unusable slits.

Does anybody else have this effect or an idea what is causing it?

TIA,

If anything as drastic as that were widespread, we certainly would have heard of it.

In any case, fonts vanishing by width rather looks like a broken gecko engine, or a font problem with your system - e.g. a non-Latin font engine on a latin font base or vice versa.

A simple reboot solved the problem.
Ah, the sweet smell of a Windows solution.
