this looks great for us to give end user admins a nice menu thats less complicated than the administration menu module. but i would like the ability to turn off the simplemenu for my admin account so that i dont have 2 admin menus as i like to use the administation menu for my admin accounts.

buckley commentedI am bumping on this same problem :

I use the Administration Menu for building the sites and want to give the webmaster access to the pages with Simple Menu. Seems like a common scenario.
I cannot disable the Simple Menu for user 1 through permissions because he can see all.
Please add an option to hide it for user 1.

buckley commentedYou can solve it with the "CSS Injector" module and a bit of php :

Hope this helps, Tom

hummingbird commentedThanks for the tip, buckley — works great.
I hope this (or some other solution) is integrated into the SimpleMenu module settings.

AlexisWilke commentedIt could be a neat feature to have each individual user decide whether the menu appears or not... It would be easy enough to implement. The next version 1.x-dev will include a way to hide the menu for admin though.
Thank you.

AlexisWilke commentedThe admin can now hide Simplemenu from its screen. I will create another issue in regard to having a flag in the user's edit screen so each user can decide to use or not the menu.
Thank you.
