I've ported William Pramana's fine Golden Gray Wordpress theme to Drupal 4.7 for a site I'm creating. It was a quick job so there are likely issues but it works reasonably well. It has been tested with Firefox 1.5, Opera 8.5, and IE 6 on Drupal 4.7.0-beta3 with a modicum of modules (forum, blog, image, and other core modules) enabled.

Known issues include:

  • layout stretches with large images or other non-wrappable content
  • list bullets are Drupal default and not those of the original Golden Gray theme
  • site logo image is not supported
  • secondary links are not handled very well

Also please note that I have no immediate intention of maintaining this theme (supporting other Drupal versions, or even fixing bugs) but feel free to post comments or issues and perhaps, or some other industrious Drupaler, will respond. If anyone wants to take ownership of this theme and make a project for it, feel free.

You can get the theme here.

Perhaps I should add that William released his theme under the GPL so is free to use and modify. All credit for the design goes to William and I tried to duplicate his theme as closely as possible.

Since William's website doesn't use the theme, here is an example of the theme.

My test site looks just the same with all blocks enabled in the right sidebar.

Although I didn't really test it in 3 column mode but it is supported. Keep in mind that since it is a fixed width theme, your middle (content) column would be extremely small with both sidebars enabled.
