Hi,

Well i am hoping i can build an online community, i work in virtual worlds online
So i'm trying to setup a radio station, i allready have the streams
And a place where dj's and musicians could possibly upload or even sell their music

That station module pack looks a bit undeveloped i dunno could i do anything with it

I am also trying to figure out a way to sell my services from my site but take payment using the points system in virtual worlds
Not really worried about that last step id just like a nice interactive community for my members and djs if i start a station

Thanks

looks u need a IT partner or a budget to pay to a IT to build it.

what u need is a link (or a button), when click will open a new window (or a tab) and connect to your radio stream server *1.

*1 of course, u need a stream server besides of the Drupal.

I have shoutcast stream up allready
Wouldn't that just be one feature on the site
ie. to have a player for your station, if that's what you mean?

yes.

mm167 - May 16, 2009 - 13:40

yes.

what is the url of your shoutcast server?
if it is running, I may build a demo for u.
I dont have a shoutcast on hand at this moment.

I setup the shoutcast stream using whmsonic admon pro, this channle is running an autodj
Mix the music live first, while recodring, then upload each set as mp3
Autodj is set to shuffle through each set: http://67.159.27.107:8740/

I'd like to see a demo, i'm curious how i'd embed a player somewhere at the top of the site
I can create flash code for a player inside my whmsonic panel for my shoutca stream
But a player for my station is just one of many things i'm hoping to do
I can build and customize the site with modules and addons that are allready developed, but i cant develope them myself.
Not sure if that station module what i want, is that all that's available? http://drupal.org/project/station

Flashplayer and player link have been successfully. Right click on the player files and save as to your computer. Copy the html link, upload player files into your FTP. Paste html codes into the website or anywhere you want.

- Flashplayer will not work on your computer or localhost, you have to upload it into the website do not test on your computer.

No i haven't had much luck with it, i just tryed to put the code into the front page content to see if that displayed it
But it doesnt, other than that i haven't had a use for it yet. it's just one of the extras that comes with the shoutcast stream.

I have the fck editor installed so i can go into the source option,
I get a flash box showing in the content node but no player.
Maybe i have the flash code wrong, i threw the two files that come with the player into the root of my site

Here's the flash code they give you to put in your web pages

Get the Flash Player to see this player.

var s1 = new SWFObject("player.swf","ply","328","20","9","#FFFFFF");
s1.addParam("allowfullscreen","true");
s1.addParam("allowscriptaccess","always");
s1.addParam("flashvars","file=http://67.159.27.107:8740/;stream.nsv&type=mp3&volume=50&autostart=true");
s1.write("container");

I tryed using the object tag around it that only displays a blank flash box.

Anyway it's a very basic player so not really what im looking to use.

thanks for your info. Let me
