Issue Summary
When selecting a corresponding vocabulary for a content type, there should be a selector of current term in that vocabulary so every new node will create a sub-term in that term.
That feature will be useful in auto-creating topics in forum from nodes of other content types.

+1 to this idea. Would be very handy.

I'm pretty sure this is the main problem we already have with hierarchies in NAT. If you select a vocab, then on the node/add page you select a term (to be parent, one would assume) a new term is added - but the term assignment is the parent, not the new term.
See this issue: http://drupal.org/node/155411 and mark this one as duplicate if necessary please? :)

If I understand correctly, this IS possible.
See here for details: http://drupal.org/node/188377#comment-2023028
#155411: Can the associated node be assigned the taxonomy term? is slightly different from this request (and IMO, not a good idea).
