I updated from a Drupal site under CVS version control from 6.11 to 6.12 via command from CVS info page — http://drupal.org/node/93966 —

cvs update -r DRUPAL-6-12 -dP

which is the correct CVS tag, Update showed around 6 files downloaded/updated.

Then I ran the update script - it now shows the main system on 6.12 but all modules are still at 6.11 and Drupal is complaining.

I now find out that there are many *.info files in modules folders (which have version listed as 6.11) which were not changed/updated/downloaded via the above CVS command. They are different in 6.12 version so should have been updated via CVS... I assume Drupal looks at the *.info files for each module during upgrade process.

Anyone have any advice/info on this.

I am also maintaining the site with Subversion, so Drupal code updates via CVS and those + local changes versioned with Subversion.

===UPDATE 17/5===

I checked the CVS entries for the Drupal root folder and the module subfolders.

In the CVS entries the folders and files are all shown as the correct CVS tag "DRUPAL-6-12", so CVS went correctly through whole directory tree recursively, but inside all the *.info files it is still listed as 6.11, (that is they were not updated as to what they would/should be if Drupal was new install at version 6.12).

Any comments/ideas from anyone?

I have fixed it.

As I mentioned CVS updated correctly and recursively all folders and tagged them as 6-12 - but it does not seem that all the module *.info files were updated and flagged properly in CVS revision 6-12 on Drupal CVS server. They certainly were not copied in CVS update.
