Help Setting jsscrollpane

Hello, I have installed the module "jscrollpane" in /sites/all/modules/jscrollpane but it does not work. I don't even see it under any of the admin tabs. What I want to do is to ad scroll bars to the content area on my homepage. Can someone help me figure this one out?

Sorry, but from what I see in the issues queue this module neither works nor is supported. However, you actually don't need a module to add js/jquery to your site. See Adding JavaScript to your theme or module for more info.

Do you have an example on how to ad scrollbars?
I'll look at the link you provided and try adding the jquery plugin manually. Thank you
