When new users sign on to my site, I want to direct their attention to a page that explains how to complete their Profile.

Possibly a "Post-it" type note, or a scrolling message...anything to draw their attention to the link or to the page.

Any suggestions?

when is a new user no longer a new user?

This question may have to be answered before you get a specific answer. Though there is a module that would help here, and for the life of me I can't remember it's name. It's throws a message up to the user letting them know how much of their profile is complete.

Edit: The module I was thinking of is content complete. I guess there wasn't one for profiles but it's still worth a comb through the downloads area.

That question on New User is a good one and probably too problematic to address as far as displaying a notice.

I will look through the modules for content complete, that may be what I am looking for.

Nope...guess I am out of luck. Content Complete appears to be for v6 only, I am using v5.18

but would be necessary in order for the message to appear and no when to no longer appear, I'd think.
