Emu - Mediawiki authentication against Drupal 4.6/4.7

Emu is GPL source code that enables a Mediawiki to do remote authentication against your Drupal site. The Mediawiki and Drupal are assumed to be on different servers. The connection between Mediawiki and Drupal is encrypted.

Cool stuff. Where is this being used? It would be good to get this checked in and thoroughly reviewed by the security team. Could similar technology be used for other sharing across servers, like multiple drupal sites or even other types, mambo, etc.

Sure, if there is interest to review the security that would be great. As you can see, I copied most of the code from around the 'net. The amount of original code is small. If someone whats to reuse what I have written in other contexts, that would be great.

New version on DCCWiki

I haven't checked out the Emu version, i've just learned about it. However, I've been working on a new version of my own so that communication has better encryption (versus my old version) between the Drupal install and MediaWiki.

Has been tested with MediaWiki 1.6alpha and Drupal 4.6.5. I'll upgrade to 4.6.6 and test that. I don't have any concerns since the Drupal module is pretty simple compared with the MediWiki side.

First of all, I'd like to say, I'm glad you put this extension together. Your efforts are appreciated.

Now, I've gone to your site, but I can't find the download link anywhere. I'm glad you wrote instructions on how to install everything, but it would be nice if we could download the files first. I guess since I want this asap, I'll download all the seperate files one by one and hope I haven't missed anything. Good thing I know how to right-click and "save linke as" -- not everyone does. Hint hint. Please zip up all your files and provide an easy to find download link. Thanks.
