Can anybody help me with a small problem. I wish to find a module similar to Joomla's 'FrontPage Slideshow' module (http://www.frontpageslideshow.net/) that will display my top four (or whatever) nodes.
I could do a basic slideshow but I wish to have the node titles present as well as in the Joomla module.
Is there anything like this for Drupal, even if I have to pay for it?
I've been looking but have yet to find anything!

As I don't need to be able to easily change the slides of the slideshows on a Drupal site I am building, I just use the static php version of frontpageslideshow. You can have the title, image and readmore button link to a node of your choice but you would have to edit the configuration files manually for each slide.

Although I haven't used it personally, Dynamic Display Block seems to look like what you want http://drupal.org/project/ddblock .

You noticed the fpss-module for Drupal? http://drupal.org/project/fpss
Sadly you cannot use it if your site is multilingual and moreover the maintainer hasn't done much after the initial release.
I use the ddblock-module- It is not that easy to set up but very much worth the effort. When you have it up and running changing the items is very easy. The support is absolutly outstanding. Check it out.
