i have a thumbnail cache which shows up in the teaser and body but doesn't come up in the rss. what could the issue be here? :S

Go To admin -> Content templates (admin/content/types/templates with clean URL's) & choose which template to edit: content/node-type/[node type name]/template

Here you'll find a tab caled "Display fields" - click that. Under that you will find RSS ( URL is content/node-type/[node type name]/display/rss ). Here you can change the setting for the image field and how it shall be treated when it is in the RSS.
