Email verification for posting content

Hello

I am working on a project where we need a kind of content publishing where users get a mail that says something like "Hello, you are creating content on our page, click here to publish it".

What is the best way to go about achieving this? Can i create my own modules that generate content nodes without it conflicting with existing modules for this?
