Webology Solutions has completed a survey of professional developers about the strengths and weaknesses of Joomla and Drupal. We received about 200 responses.
We hope survey will add some needed objectivity and get people to think about which CMS is most appropriate for particular problems rather than which CMS is "the best." The survey covers a variety of topics including ease of use, extensibility, the quality of documentation, and more. The data collected from the Drupal vs Joomla survey is intended to help people determine which CMS is best for their project.
