Change/Re-write the div classes and ids by using Contemplates?

I am newb to Drupal and have little knowledge on php. I have created a content type with CCK. When CSSing the content type I found that the default div ids / classes created by CCK are too long and unclear, also i want add some unique id / class for some certain field.

My question is:
1, Can Contemplate support this?
2, How could I redefine the node layout?
